No two people and no two properties are the same. No two sheds should have to be the same either. That’s why we give you complete control over the options included in your custom shed.
Each of our custom portable buildings starts with a strong set of standard construction features. After that, though, it’s up to you to decide exactly how your custom shed will be configured. From the roof to the siding to the interior…design it exactly how you want it.
Colors for Our Custom Sheds
Every custom shed, garage, and cabin we build is available in a wide range of colors. The exact color pallet depends on what exterior material you choose. Between metal, vinyl, stain, paint, shingle, and trim colors, we have hundreds of possible color combinations for your custom portable building. You can experiment with different combinations in our 3D shed builder or visit our colors page to browse swatches.

| We offer our custom portable buildings with a number of sidings from Royal Building Products® including their Estate™, Residential, and Royal® Crest product lines. | Wanting the look of stained wood with the durability of LP® SmartSide®? With 10 popular stain colors to choose from, we’ve got you covered. | For painted custom sheds, we use LP® SmartSide®, an engineered wood siding product, and coat it with shed-specific paint from brands like Sherwin-Williams®. | Metal is a durable option for custom shed siding. We use metal panels rolled from Mill Steel with a weather-resistant coating from AkzoNobel called CERAM-A-STAR1050®. | For that real woodsy cabin feel, there’s nothing quite like a classic log look. We offer several styles of log siding; each can be stained to your desired color. |
Roof Options on Our Custom Sheds
Metal
For a durable, good-looking shed roof, metal is a popular option. All the colors available for metal siding are also available for roofing on our custom sheds.
Dimensional Shingles
For a custom shed roof with extra longevity, upgrade to our 30-year dimensional shingles. They also add a classy, textured look to your shed roof.
Roof Designs
A steeper 7/12-pitch roof is available on A-frame buildings. This gives a look more like a house roof and allows for the addition of a dormer. Dormer styles include transom dormers and gable dormers. Adding a cupola can be the perfect touch to finish off a custom shed roof.
Vents
To keep air circulating in your custom portable building, it’s a good idea to add vents. We have several styles of gable vents available, including rectangle or octagon designs. Ridge vent is a great addition to increase the longevity of your custom shed roof.
Door Options on Our Custom Sheds
Single Doors
Walk-in doors can be customized based on your shed exterior. Options include wooden single doors, vinyl doors, and pre-hung doors in 6-panel, 9-lite, and 11-lite styles. All doors include a diamond-plate threshold.
Double Doors
All our custom sheds come standard with a set of double doors. These are available in the same material as your shed exterior: vinyl, metal, or wood. All doors include a diamond-plate threshold.
Garage Doors
Garage doors come as a standard part of each of our portable garages. Garage door designs include raised-panel, sunburst, and transom window styles. All doors include a diamond-plate threshold.
Window Options on Our Custom Sheds
Windows
Depending on what style of custom shed, cabin, or garage you choose, there may be some windows included. If you want to add more, we have several sizes to choose from, including 18×27, 24×36, and 30×36. For heated custom portable buildings, our 30×36 insulated windows are the way to go. Add transom windows for extra flair.
Shutters & Flower Boxes
If you don’t prefer the look of a bare window, we can help! Shutters are popular on our vinyl, stained wood, and painted wooden buildings. A variety of colors are available to add contrast to your custom shed. Adding flower boxes helps finish out windows even more and lets you apply your gardening skills to your custom shed.
Interior Options on Our Custom Sheds
Heavy-Duty Floor
To handle extra-heavy equipment or vehicles in your custom shed, you can upgrade your custom shed floor joists from 16” on-center to 12” on-center. Additionally, if the standard ¾” tongue-and-groove flooring isn’t enough for you, an upgrade to pressure-treated plywood is available instead.
Workshop Package
Planning to use your custom shed for working on projects or hobbies? We’ve created a workshop package specifically for those types of uses! It includes a workbench, a shelf, a pegboard, and a divider wall with a door. You can also get shelving as a standalone option on a per-foot basis.
Porch Options on Our Custom Sheds
The Corner Porch
At 4’x8’, it’s the simplest porch design we offer. It includes a railing, a window w/shutters, and a walk-in single door. This is a nice little addition to a portable cabin.
The Front Porch
Planning to use your custom shed for working on projects or hobbies? We’ve created a workshop package specifically for those types of uses! It includes a workbench, a shelf, a pegboard, and a divider wall with a door. You can also get shelving as a standalone option on a per-foot basis.
The Deluxe Porch
This porch wraps around the front and side of your custom prefab cabin. With railing, a walk-in door, and several windows, it’s the ideal porch for a small cabin!
